I had an opportunity to shoot with the amazingly talented and worldly Charles Webb as he prepared a plethora of different dishes. His incredibly diverse palette and collection of spices from all over the world proved to be an exquisite photo opportunity, rich with bright colors and bold textures.

Silver Fork Graduation Dinner
There is an amazing program at the Center on Halsted called Silver Fork that is an accelerated culinary arts program that allows LGBTQ community members who are in need of work get certified and pursue careers in the culinary arts. All of these gifted individuals get empowerments by going through the program, and then being placed with either a company, or armed with the knowledge for them to start their own company. They have graduation dinners at the end of each program, and this event represents food photography that is taken around an event, with food being an important component, but certainly not the only one. This type of food photography combines event photography with food photography.
